The Education Alliance at Brown University, in partnership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), is pleased to announce the creation of the Comprehensive School Reform (CSR) Support and Capacity Building Program. This program, funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, assists state education agencies and districts in the Northeast region and the Eastern Seaboard with building the capacity of underperforming schools (e.g., schools that have been identified for improvement or corrective action) to engage in inclusive and sustainable school improvement.

Our technical assistance and consultative services promote the value of diversity in our nation's public schools and are based on the premise that inclusive and sustainable school improvement requires explicit respect and recognition of the assets and needs of all students. We pay particular attention to assisting students who are learning English as a second language and who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and different countries.
Our services build upon current research and our long-standing practical experience working with state, district, and school leaders on comprehensive school improvement and addressing the learning needs of English language learners (ELLs). This program's technical assistance and consultative services are offered to states and districts at no-cost.
