What does the process look like in the schools?

Each school creates a D&D team of teachers, administrators and parents (we hope!) who work together to frame AR questions, collect data, pilot new approaches, and reflect on student progress. (Some schools have more than one team.) The focus is on teaching and student learning, but the AR questions may vary widely. The D&D team meets in the school at least monthly; some meet more often, or confer in small groups as the work progresses. Each team selects a liaison who helps coordinate the work.

School teams may also document effective practices that they want to share with others as part of the AR process. They are assisted in this process by members of the external support teams (see below).

When they feel comfortable, school teams share their learnings with other teachers in their schools, with other schools, and in public forums and conferences.
